Notary work is my second career. For more than 40 years, I was a software developer and a software engineering manager. I've built and maintained  dozens of complex systems and I've hired, trained and managed hundreds of people over my career. Technology fads come and go,  but the most important things you learn are the ones you can use in any career: professionalism, attention to detail and clear, honest communication. These were some of the things that made me a good IT person, and they also make me a good notary.
